Managing users and domains

Administration is reached at /admin.

Domains

Every domain needs:

• A valid MX record
• An SPF record
• A DKIM key (generated inside AnnexGroup)
• A DMARC policy

Creating many users at once

Anyone moving from Exchange already has the list of mailboxes — from the export, from a spreadsheet, or from HR. It does not need retyping.

annexgroup import-users --file users.txt --lang en

Format, one line per user, separated by semicolon or tab:

address[;Display name[;Role[;Password]]]

Blank lines and lines starting with # are skipped. Without a role, user applies; only user and admin are allowed. Without a password the user is created without one — same as create-user.

Commas are not separators. A display name is often "Surname, First name", and splitting on commas would break it.

The command reports a result for every line — created, skipped, or rejected with a reason — and carries on. One unusable line does not stop the rest. A summary follows; the exit code is non-zero as soon as one line was rejected.

Running the same list twice is safe. Anyone who already exists is skipped, not overwritten. That is the normal case, because a migration gets repeated.

Try first, then create:

annexgroup import-users --file users.txt --dry-run

The domain must exist. Create it with annexgroup create-domain, before the users.

Every user created this way gets the same standard folders as through the web interface — Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Trash, Spam and Archive, in the language chosen with --lang.

Agents

Agents are automated assistants that are allowed to access a mailbox. They can sort mail, reply to it, or place it in incubation. Set the autonomy level and the learning phase in the agent dialogue.
