The macOS packages are notarized by Apple. They start without a detour through the security settings — verified on a machine that is not our own, with the download quarantine flag set.
On the very first start, macOS checks with Apple once. The machine needs an internet connection for that moment; afterwards it does not.

The script creates the service user, directories and the system service, and then tells you the three steps still missing. It deliberately does not start the service yet — the database comes first.
Everything, step by step, is in the installation guide.
Included in the package

Version 0.8 means what it says: fully usable, but young. What AnnexGroup can and cannot do is stated openly on the page Moving from Exchange — read it before installing; it can save you an evening.
