After installing AnnexGroup, you set up the first domain and the admin account through the setup assistant.

Step 1: Initial configuration

1. Open https://<your-domain>/setup.
2. Enter your primary domain (for example example.com).
3. Set the first admin user and a separate root password.

Security note: The root password should not be identical to the admin password, and should be used for emergencies only.

Step 2: Check DNS records

Under Administration → DNS record suggestions you will find the recommended records for:

• MX (incoming mail)
• SPF (sender authorisation)
• DKIM (signature)
• DMARC (policy)
• MTA-STS (transport security)

Step 3: Create the first users

Go to Administration → Users and create mailboxes. Every user automatically receives the standard folders Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Trash and Archive.

Step 4: Connect clients

• Webmail: https://<your-domain>/access/inbox
• CalDAV/CardDAV: https://<your-domain>/dav/
• SMTP: smtp://<your-domain>:587 (STARTTLS)
• IMAP: imap://<your-domain>:143 (STARTTLS)
